VIM MONTE CARLO GALA

VIM’s second annual gala evening is quickly approaching and the excitement is growing.  Invitations have been mailed out and we expect the avalanche of positive responses to start very soon.  For those of you who attended our Gala last year and left wanting more, we are doing our signature grand “Monte Carlo Night” again.  For those who did not attend and plan to this year, you are going to experience an exciting and elegant evening of Casino life with fine dining, classy dancing, professionally run gambling, and knockout raffle prizes.

This year VIM will be honoring Steven and Helice Picheny with a Journal recognizing these very special people that tirelessly work to improve the quality of life for all in the greater Berkshire community.  Steve has just completed a two-year term as the Chairman of the Board of Volunteers in Medicine (VIM).  Under Steve’s guidance, VIM has grown in numbers of patients as well as attracting the involvement of more than 200 volunteers.  This Journal is a token of the Clinic’s appreciation and that of many in the community.  If you wish to participate in the Gala Journal, you can call the Clinic at 413-528-4014 and leave a message for the Journal Committee and we will get back to you.

The Gala Committee consists of energetic, creative, and dedicated members, chaired by Jane Salamon.  Members include Hildi Black, Pat Igoe, Bobbie Glass, Missy Levy. Clara Londoner, Catherine Mandel, Matt Mandel, Barbara Mandell, Susan Minich, Bonnie Oloff, Dianne Salamon, Molly Sheriff, Elaine Silberstein, Marion Simon, Lizbeth Yeager, and Eileen Young.  If you wish to join us, it’s not too late, give us a call and we can find a job that suits you and your talents.  We appreciate all the help we can get.

The gaming is handled by professional croupiers that can relate to all experience levels whether you are well versed in Texas Hold ‘Em, have no idea about Craps, love spinning the Roulette Wheel, or stick with Black Jack.  It’s all so much fun and exciting watching the chips stack up to be turned into raffle tickets.

A huge part of the evening is putting your winnings towards one or more of the spectacular raffle packages.  There will be sumptuous food packages that include restaurants and delectable goodies, indulgent and pampering products and experiences, and gorgeous and elegant personal items.

This event gives us a perfect opportunity to support and celebrate Volunteers in Medicine Berkshires free healthcare clinic while having a fun-filled evening.  The Clinic accepts no government money so we must rely on its financial support from private sources and the Gala is a large contributing aspect of the fund raising effort.

VIM’s Monte Carlo Night is not just a “same old, same old” gala evening so we look forward to seeing you Saturday, September 29th at Catamount Ski Area. To make a reservation, please print and fill out and mail the form below.  If you have questions, please call the clinic at 413 528-4014 and leave a message for the Gala Committee.
